Tarpon have arrived

Our tarpon showed up pretty much right on schedule showing up in Government Cut right before Christmas. When winds allowed they could be seen chasing bait at the mouth of the inlet. A large group of fish will get in front of Southbeach when winds are from the west or very light. Throwing big black flies or dragging crabs on circle hooks early am usually yields results. The channels around Stiltsville have been producing some nice jack crevalles

. When we get a stretch of nice weather the bonefishing has been good.
