The Channels
Report Date: February 14, 2006
Fishing has again been up and down with the temperature. We have some nights as low as 38 degrees and water temps in the Bay can drop quickly. This makes AM bonefishing tough. However, the finger channels have been great for pompano, ladyfish, bluefish, snapper, jacks, etc. Sunny afternoons have produced on the flats. Large barracuda lay up and sun themselves allowing for nice action with 9 wt fly rods. Tarpon are at Miami's Government Cut and South Beach but have been tough to feed.
